Phone Mount on the Tank Bag

Mounting the iPhone on the handlebar with Quadlock is very prominent and I don’t like the look. It isn’t necessary for operation either, since I use the CarPlay device.

So I looked for a way to attach the iPhone to the tank bag, including wireless charging. There was nothing ready-made for this.

But I found these parts:

• Molle mounting clips x
• Quadlock 360 degree base.
• Latex “Kleben statt Bohren” (glue instead of drilling)

The Molle clips slide into the top of the SW-Motech tank bag.

I tried quite a few adhesives. In the end it was once again “Kleben statt Bohren” - that stuff is simply good.

Whether I actually keep the Quadlock charging head on or use a simple clamp, I’ll find out in the coming days. I haven’t been able to take a photo with the iPhone on it yet, but it does look pretty silly when it “floats” so high above the tank bag.
